George Briggs Technology Symposium
Who is invited?
This Symposium invites teams of both students and teachers to visit Trafalgar Castle School. Throughout the day, your team may:
- present a workshop on your own use of technology in the curriculum
- visit other workshops to network and to seek out new ideas
While visiting teams are encouraged to present a workshop, teams may attend the Symposium solely as audience members; this may be a great starting point for you and your students, if technology use is still in its early stages in your classroom!
What can you bring to the Symposium?
We are looking for anything and everything involving technology-enhanced education! Some suggestions may include:
- Online or electronic writing portfolios
- Project Management initiatives
- Robotics projects
- Computer animation or graphic arts
- Online music composition
- Online discussion forums
- Interactive websites
- Etc!
Based on your workshop entries, the Symposium will be divided into Elementary/Intermediate and Senior panels, with subject-themed workshop areas.
The Symposium hopes to bring together groups of students and teachers from area schools to share their experiences with technology, to form partnerships for IT-based classroom projects, and to inspire new ideas and initiatives! We look forward to seeing you!
If you are interested in attending and participating in the Symposium, please contact us at gbts@castle-ed.com.
The Symposium is offered free of charge!
