Making the decision for our daughter to attend Trafalgar Castle School has been one of the easiest choices we have made. For our daughter, it was when she spent a day observing and being a part of the school community that sealed it for her. The words she spoke told us that there was no turning back!

“I have to go to this school”. When asked why, she responded “The girls were really nice to me, but it was the way that the teachers taught, it was so interesting and we seemed to do so much more. Plus the laptops are great!”

Now, here we are three years later sharing some of our wonderful experiences at Trafalgar Castle School.

Trafalgar Castle School holds many wonders within the Castle walls. They focus on safety, high standards of academics, respect for others, involvement in the community and outreach programs. Attending the monthly Guild meetings has given me the opportunity to see and be a part of how the Parents’ Guild, Executive and Board constantly work towards advancing the academics, athletics, arts and school surroundings. Parent involvement is openly welcome and offers each parent a chance to become part of the Trafalgar Community.

The staff is always available for extra help and support for the students. They show enthusiasm and are always a part of extra- curricular and social events at the school. As my daughter would say “the teachers are great, they’re like peers that compete in house games, laugh with us and are always up for any challenges with the students.”

The Trafalgar Community shares many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. From the laughs and sleepless nights at Muskoka Woods, house plays, arts night and the many social events… to the tears and goodbyes at Senior Dinner and Trafalgar Day Celebrations on the last day of school. The support and encouragement between the students from grade 6 to 12 is heartwarming and a true reflection of the values of the school. Respect self and others, celebrate diversity and traditions, promote confidence, creativity and collaboration.

Over the past three years, our daughter and our family has had the opportunity to meet and share our home with students from around the world whom we will keep in touch with for many years to come.

We have watched our daughter blossom and become a confident, independent young woman. We look forward to the many adventures, friendships and learning experiences over the next four years at Trafalgar Castle School.

Trafalgar Castle School continues to provide our daughter with the foundations of a leading education through a technology enhanced classroom experience, a priority on social responsibility and a solid understanding of curriculum fundamentals. The wonderful opportunity that presents itself with having international boarders residing at the school adds to the enjoyment and provides all the students with a chance to learn and interact with diverse cultures. Both the educational and school life aspects of a Trafalgar education will no doubt help prepare our daughter to be a successful, confident and empowered young woman ready to face the many challenges that life has to offer. It is our belief that through this caring and boundless educational opportunity offered at Trafalgar Castle School that our daughter will strive not only to be ‘the best that she can be’ in the world but to also be ‘the best for the world’.

I wanted to write to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all that you all did for our daughter during her four years at Trafalgar. She arrived via a rocky road and never looked back. Her time with you shaped her into the self-confident, self-possessed young woman she is today. Both academically and socially she has flourished with your help and guidance.

I am, of course, intensely proud of her and know she will go far in life. Trafalgar is a wonderful school, staffed and run by amazing and dedicated people.
