Grade 9 Canadian Achievement Test (2009-2010)

  • Two tests written on the same day for all Grade 9’s
  • 100% of our students met or exceeded the national average (77% nationally) in Math Skills
  • 88% of our students met or exceeded the national average (77% nationally) in Computation and Estimation.

What happens next:

  • The parents are mailed individual results with explanatory letter
  • The teachers next year review the incoming student reports with me to identify areas of improvement
  • The teachers next year review the current results to focus on generally weaker areas

Grade 6 Canadian Achievement Test (2009-2010)

  • Six tests written over 3 days for all Grade 6’s
  • 100% of our students met or exceeded the national average in reading (77%)
  • 94% of our students met or exceeded the national standard in writing (77%)
  • 94% of our students met or exceeded the national standard in writing conventions (77%)
  • 88% of our students met or exceeded the national standard in spelling (77%)
  • 100% of our students met or exceeded the national standard in mathematics (77%)
  • 94% of our students met or exceeded the national standard in estimation computation (77%)

What happens next:

  • The parents are mailed individual results with explanatory letter
  • Grade 7 teachers next year review incoming student reports with me to identify areas of improvement
  • Grade 6 teachers next year review the current results to focus on generally weaker areas
